So... what is an electric bike?
Vvolt designs pedal-powered, electric-assist bikes for navigating your streets and trails. An electric bike is a bicycle equipped with a battery-powered motor that helps propel you further and faster! Our e-bikes are lightweight, nimble, safe, and FUN!
What's so special about Vvolt anyway?
It's all about the brand and the people behind it!
We're a small team of dedicated riders based in Portland, Oregon. We're passionate about changing the way people traverse their environments by offering excellent micro-mobility solutions.
We're an Original Design Manufacturer; you won't find our bikes in a catalog from some random factory! Our frame geometry and component specifications are honed in from decades of combined pedaling experience and, most importantly, trust in our partners.
We also pick up the phone (during open hours!). So call us, let's chat!
Where can I test ride your ebikes?
In Portland, Oregon, and across the nation! Our showroom address is 2101 SE 6th Avenue, Portland, Oregon, 97214. Our hours are Monday - Thursday: 9 am - 4:30 pm, Friday: 9 am - 2pm.
All currently in-stock bikes are ready to ride on short or extended test rides!

Are your ebikes protected by a warranty?
Vvolt provides a 3-year warranty for ebikes purchased directly from Vvolt in the U.S., covering defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty applies only to the original owner and begins when you receive the bike.

Do you offer any discounts for students, teachers. military, etc.?
No, Vvolt does not offer discounts for students, military, or others.
But...
Our goal is to put more butts on bikes. In addition to offering an inventory of pre-loved ebikes at deep discounts, we're always keen to meet people where they're at financially.
While we won't send you a complimentary bike, we will do what we can to kick things off a little after we understand and discuss your situation.

Ordering
How much do you charge for shipping?
We charge $0 for shipping within the continental US on all ebikes.
You can exchange your ebike for FREE within 14 days
Spare parts, accessories, and warranty parts will incur shipping charges based on their weight.
* Alaska and Hawaii residents, you can expect to pay upwards of $600. However, we've been known to subsidize the cost if you ask nicely ;^)
What is your return policy?
We also offer returns within 14 days of delivery with a flat return fee.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we do not offer international shipping. We focus on ensuring that our bikes are accessible to as many riders as possible through our current distribution network.
For Canadian or Mexican customers, some have chosen to use freight forwarders to receive their orders. Please note that if this option is chosen, the customer is responsible for any additional shipping and labor costs, especially in case of warranty repairs—although we won't charge for the parts themselves.
We understand that international customers are interested in our products, and we're working on expanding our shipping capabilities when resources allow.
How do I change or modify my order once I've placed it?
Easy! You can update your order by emailing support@vvolt.com with your needs, and we'll take care of the rest!

It's $100 off any ebike! Just type LOCALDISCOUNT in the discount text box when checking out! FYI, we perform verification checks prior to issuing the discount to mitigate abuse.
How do I choose the right size?
We're proud to offer three frame sizes because it means more riders can find a bike that actually fits—and that makes a huge difference. A properly sized frame improves comfort, handling, and safety, especially on longer rides or in urban traffic. Many ebike brands only offer one or two sizes, which can leave taller or shorter riders stuck with awkward geometry or poor posture. By offering small, medium, and large frames, Vvolt ensures a better fit for a wider range of people, making their bikes more accessible and enjoyable to ride right out of the box.

Are Vvolt ebikes easy to service?
Absolutely!
We use industry-standard parts and sizes to ensure you can keep rolling for years to come. Our workshop stocks a full supply of every electrical component, and we have a vast and growing list of service centers across the United States.
We're proud to offer low-maintenance ebikes at an affordable price, and keeping them rolling shouldn't cost an arm and a leg! Find specific maintenance suggestions in our Support Center!
Are Vvolt ebikes safe?
100% yes!
We use name-brand, high-quality components, our electrical systems are UL-certified, and our frames are sturdy!

Do Vvolt ebikes have a weight limit?
Our ebikes are built to be strong and durable. While some models can technically handle up to 440 lbs, we have updated our recommended maximum rider weight to 300 lbs on newer models to ensure long-term durability and optimal performance.
We highly recommend considering component upgrades for riders over 300 lbs to maintain safety and performance, which may include reinforced wheels, high-performance brake systems, and heavy-duty tires.

Are Vvolt ebikes waterproof?
We proudly design and test all of our products through the wonderfully consistent drizzle of the Pacific Northwest! Vvolt ebikes use the international standard of IPX ratings for water resistance.
Hub-drive ebikes are rated IPX5, while mid-motor ebikes are rated IPX6.
An important caveat is that our batteries are rated to IPX4. We've pedaled through countless puddles and storms, but always let our bikes and batteries dry out before recharging.

What kind of trails or roads can I ride on a Vvolt?
Vvolt follows the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) surface condition designation for our ebikes.
The conditions (0-5) refer to different riding situations:
- Condition 0 — Adult supervision required, no traffic;
- Condition 1 — Suitable for road riding (only);
- Condition 2 — For off-road riding and jumps less than 12 in. (30 cm.);
- Condition 3 — For rough off-road riding and jumps less than 24 in. (61 cm.); and
- Condition 4 — For extreme off-road riding.
All Vvolt ebikes are rated to ASTM Condition 2 riding. Curb popping', bunny hopping,' and skiddies are all safe and encouraged (so long as you're not pushing yourself!)
Can I put cool accessories on my ebike?
You sure can!
You can find our full list of accessories here. Vvolt uses industry-standard part sizes, so you can modify your ride to your heart's (or wallet's) content!
